She was predeceased by: her brother James "Jim" King; her husband T. C. Howell; her daughter Becky Sims; and her granddaughter Amanda Sims. She is survived by: her granddaughter Rachel Sims Manis; her son Steve Howell (Christy Howell); and her grandchildren, Reed Howell, Dustin Howell, Rachel Manis, Ryan Sims and Amy Smith. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her honor to Cumberland Heights Church of Christ in Sparta, TN.
