She was predeceased by: her parents, Maxine McLeod and James Hampton Matthews (Harold Briggs McKnight, II); her brother Jimmy Matthews; and her sister-in-law Joy Matthews. She is survived by: her children, Michael McKnight (Angela Flores) and Lynn Rieger (William); her sister Kay O'Connor; her grandchildren, Lauren Mott (Robert), Briggs McKnight, Mary Rieger and Bo Rieger (Madeline); and her great grandchild Leon Mott.
