He is survived by: his wife Joanne; his children, Hank Pewitt (Michelle), Jennifer Scott (Alex), Jason Akin (Crystal) and Amy Dooner; his grandchildren, Marlee (Mareena Scott), Thomas Akin, Taylor and Marcy (Misty Hartman); and his sister Susan Akin.
