He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Boyd and Catherine Staggs Whitwell; his daughter Amanda Whitwell; and his siblings-in-law, Jim Pipkin and Pam Pipkin.
He is survived by: his wife Lajuana Faye Whitwell; his children, Christina Lunn (Tom), Brandon Whitwell (Catherine) and Justin Whitwell (Brittany); his grandchildren, Ciera Hargrove, Hunter Whitwell (Morgan), Brantly Whitwell, Lindze Lunn, Gavin Whitwell, Gabe Lunn, Mia Whitwell, Dane Lunn and Scarlett Whitwell; and also, Cassidy, Kristy and Eddie.
