He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Alkema and Esca Alkema (Sannes); his brother Lawrence Alkema; and his granddaughter Abbie Ann Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Judy Alkema of Spring Hill; his son Doug; his daughter-in-law Brenda Alkema of Chicago, IL; his daughter Maribeth; his son-in-law Jeremy Johnson of Spring Hill, TN; his sister Archa Turner of Anderson, SC; and his grandchildren, Harper Reese Alkema, Sullivan Crew Alkema, Keyes William Johnson and Kelsey Ann Johnson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in honor of Don may be made to the new Embrace.
