Dale Strubbe Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dale Strubbe of Spring Hill, Tennessee, born in Jacksonville, Illinois, who passed away on January 9, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Strubbe and Mary Rachel (Thompson); and his brothers, Harlan, Wayne, Keith and Myron.
He is survived by: his daughters, Susan (Richard Plese) and Holly (Matthew Murer); his wife Carol (Day); his daughter Jill Strubbe of Iowa City; and his grandchildren, Kylie Janacek (Tim), Colin Plese, Cole Plese, Nolan Balmer and Eleanora Murer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law, cousins, an aunt and many, many friends.
Even though the pandemic prevented Dale and Carol from being with their family for quite awhile, they all managed to come together to celebrate Dale's 80th birthday in August 2020, enjoying a round of golf, great food, and one of his favorite desserts, Italian Cream Cake.
