He was predeceased by: his parents, James Henry and Sachiyo Ishibasha Ellis; and his sister Regina Kelly. He is survived by: his brother James Ellis, Jr. (Angeline); and his nieces and nephews, Clintrina Allen, Tomeka Baily (Cory), James Ellis III (Quavonda), Elise Kelly and Julian Kelly.
