She was predeceased by: her brothers, Thomas Higgins, Jr. and Rodney Higgins; and her parents, Thomas Higgins, Sr. and Ann Higgins. She is survived by: her sister Gwen Ward; her stepmother Jan Higgins; and her stepsiblings, June Stafford (Eddie) and Eddie. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
