He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Gaines and Velma Gaines; and his siblings, Harold Gaines of Bill Gaines, Barbara Byrd, Shirley Godsey, Patty Kast and Sandra Perry.
He is survived by: his wife Gale Gaines; his daughter Danielle Gaines; his siblings, Gerald Gaines of David Gaines and Pam Johnson; and his grandchildren, Xanon Chacon, Zaya Chacon and Judy Hawkins. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and extended family members and friends.
