She was predeceased by: her parents, Gail G. Gillespie and Bertha E. Howell Gillespie; and her son Joseph V. Oggs. She is survived by: her family Gospel; her siblings, Helen Smith, Emma Peoples, Eunice Rankins, Nola Locke, Edna Hickey, Florence Wilkerson, Cleo Jones, Mary Ruth Moore, George Gillespie, Olen Gillespie, Curtis Gillespie and William Gillespie; her husband James H. Oggs; her sons, Vashon Oggs (Stacey) and Jason Oggs (Nicole); her grandsons, Kannon Oggs, Xavier Oggs, Braxton Oggs, Jayden Oggs and Priest Oggs; her brothers, Booker T. Gillespie (Carolyn) and Alvas Gillespie; her sister-in-law Mary Scruggs; and her mother-in-law Corin Lenoir.
