It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Ailey of Spring City, Tennessee, born in Maryville, Tennessee, who passed away on February 3, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dallas Forrester and Virgie Dill Forrester; her husband Richard "Gene" Ailey Sr.; and her siblings, Charles, Don Forrester and Dorothy Deering.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Ailey (Jill) of Spring City, Kelli Morris (Chris) of Spring City, Charles Ailey (Vicki) of Knoxville and Kristina Salter (Donnie) of Hixson, Tennessee. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
