She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Barnwell; her parents, Jess Lemons and Rose Scroggins Lemons; and her son Lloyd Barnwell. She is survived by: her children, Jan Roberts (Paul) of Dayton, Donna Varner (Dennis) of Spring City and Joe Barnwell (Jennifer) of Ashland, Alabama; and her sister Clara Carter of Dayton. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
