He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Smith and Marie Bolton Smith; and his siblings, Pat Douglas, Emily Travis, Glenna Tutor, Mary Ann Phillips and Charlotte Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Crosby Smith of Spring City, Tennessee; his children, David Smith of Spring City, Maria Holmes of Ten Mile and Amanda McQueen (Scott) of Murfreesboro; his siblings, Francis Smith (Virginia) of Spring City, Steve Smith (Karen) of Spring City and Brenda Dodson (Ronnie) of Mechanicsville, Virginia; his brother-in-law Jimmy Tutor of Gatlinburg; his grandchildren, Miranda Dodd, Gracie Bustos, Mica Holmes, Quillen Holmes, Keller Holmes, Anya McQueen and Liza McQueen; his great grandchild Colt Dodd; and his close friends, Jerry of Spring City, Tennessee., Robin Walker of Spring City, Tennessee., Carole of Spring City, Tennessee. and Boyd Wright of Spring City, Tennessee.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
