He was predeceased by: his parent Theodore Hamby; and his siblings, Daniel "Dan" Hamby, William David Hamby, Julia Loden and Audra Spurlin.
He is survived by: his parent Dovie Hite Hamby; his wife Diane Ezell Hamby of Spring City; his children, Lisa Bauer (Matt) of Spring City and Samuel Hamby of Chattanooga; his sisters, Mary Waldo of Crossville and Esther Durham of Cookeville; his grandchildren, Dylan Jenkins, Garrett Jenkins (Merrett) and Brandy Headlee (Daniel); and his great grandchild Audrey Headlee.
