He was predeceased by: his parents, Mack Ailey and Josie M. Patterson Ailey; and his siblings, Vineyard Ailey and Margie Forrest. He is survived by: his wife Shirley P. Forrester Ailey of Spring City; and his children, Richard E. Ailey Jr (Jill), Charles Ailey (Vicki) of Farragut, Kristina Salter (Donnie) of Hixson and Kelli Morris (Chris) of Spring City. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
