It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Opal Thompson of Spring City, Tennessee, who passed away on October 5, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Darist McFalls and Bethel Lawson McFalls; her husband Eugene "Gene" Thompson; and her siblings, Robert McFalls, Emmagean Thompson, Pearl Thompson, Edna Ruth Riggs, Ruby Morris and Martha Jane "Monkey" Alexander.
She is survived by: her children, John Thompson (Janet) of Spring City, Bethel "Timmy" Fine (Raymond) of Spring City, Charbo Thompson (Tonda) of Spring City and Jimmy Thompson of Spring City; and her sister JoAnn Smith of Spring City. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
