It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nannie Borders Rice of Spring City, Tennessee, born in Banner, Kentucky, who passed away on January 9, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Homer Hewitt; her former husband William J. Borders; her daughter Debra Ann West; and her siblings, Homer Hewitt Jr., Inez H. Justice, Ruth Wade and Billie Mildred Marshall.
She is survived by: her husband Leo J. Rice; her son Gary Borders (Marcella) of Kingwood, TX; her stepchildren, Leo David Rice (Teresa) of Banner, Stephen Rice (Laura) of Shelbyville and Delilah Rice Hill (Brian) of Spring City, Tennessee; her son-in-law Jim West; her grandchildren, Shelly Dickerson, Brian Jennings, Samantha Spring and Micha Borders; her stepgrandchildren, Matthew Rice, Lauren McQuery, Chauncey Meade, Andrew Rice, Preston Meade and Payne Meade; her great grandchildren, Peyton Spring, Liam Spring, Rowen Spring, Jack Walker McQuery, Clark David McQuery, Walter Stephen McQuery and Reagan Charlotte Rice; and her nieces, Charlene Wilson and Brenda May Williamson. She is also survived by extended family and friends.
