She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Estle E. Standifer and Jo Ann (John); her husband John Powell of Spring City; her children, Ann Scoggins of Spring City, Estle A. Powell of Garland and Carol Hatela (David) of Highlands Ranch; and her sister Betty Jane "B. J." Black (Wyndell) of Marietta. She was also cherished by four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the S. C. A. N. Program, c/o Rhea County Sherriff.
