He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Vanwinkle and Delores Harwood Vanwinkle; his uncles, James W. and Virgil R. Harwood; and his aunt Mary J. Pugh.

He is survived by: his children, Brett Pearce, Brittany Heath (Derek), Bethany Pearce and Olivia Pearce; his fiancée Tammy Pearce; his brother Norman Pearce (Heather); his grandchildren, Adrian, Kiptyn and Owen Heath; his uncles, John Allen Harwood and Edward Harwood; his nieces, Kirsten Barley (Claude) and Reily Tyson (Ramsey); and his nephew Brayden Pearce (Katie).
