She is survived by: her husband James Q. Tallent of Huntersville; her daughter Heather Tallent-Furberg; her son-in-law Lars Jonas Furberg of Silver Springs, Maryland.; and her sister Joanne Chaple Cowden of Dayton. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
She served on a number of health care boards including March of Dimes, Diabetes Foundation, American Marketing Association – Health Care Division, etc.
