He was predeceased by: his wife Edna J. Lemons Motes; his daughter Adena Lynn Motes; and his daughter-in-law Connie Jane Woody Motes. He is survived by: his children, Loretta Masterson (Ron) of Spring City, Nina Daniel (Jerry) of Pikeville, TN, Annette Kimery (Joe) of Ringgold, GA, Ward Motes of Tulsa, OK and Stephania Motes of Spring City; and his brother Gene Motes of Soddy Daisy. He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Clair Baptist Church Building Fund, 760 Rocky Springs Road, Spring City, TN 37381.
