He was predeceased by: his parents, Gaither Lee and Ruthie Pauline Frye Riggs Sr.; his wife Beatrice M. Riggs; his son Tony Riggs; and his siblings, Edgar, Roy, Johnny, James Riggs, Hazel, Hattie Riggs and Lillie Mae Cox.
He is survived by: his grandchild Christian; his children, Vickie Rose Goodwin of California, Cindy Lou Watkins of Grandview and Eugene Allen Riggs of Avon Park; and his sisters, Marie Lemons of Crossville and Mandy Dinkins of Cookeville.
