It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frank Matthews of Spring City, Tennessee, born in Raleigh, North Carolina, who passed away on April 21, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Silas Franklin Matthews, Sr. and Lena Sapp Matthews. He is survived by: his wife Chrissy Matthews of Spring City, Tennessee; his children, Steven Matthews of Greenville, Jessica Shuford (Scott) of Columbia, Allie Coleman (Clark) of Dayton and Emily Matthews of Chattanooga, Tennessee; his sister Jane Cagle (Virginia) of Fancy Gap; and his grandsons, Ben, Evan Matthews, Sam, Luke, Eli and James Shuford.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rhea County Animal Shelter, 9118 Back Valley Road, Evensville, TN 37332.
