He was predeceased by: his parents, Elzo Newport and Maggie Newport; his sister Audrey Jean Blackson; and his son-in-law Dwayne Reid. He is survived by: his wife Sally Harshbarger-Newport of Spring City, TN; his children, Adam Newport, Diana Jones, Jill Reid and Brad Harshbarger (Andrea) of DeGraff, OH; his grandchildren, Destany Thompson (Dalas), Dana Grace Jones, Drew Jones, Hunter Reid, Katie Newport, Levi, Beau, Callie and Emily Harshbarger; and his sisters, Judy Newport Reed (Max), Pat Newport Smith (Robert) and Linda Hickey of Spring City, TN. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
