She is survived by: her husband John L Brooks Sr.; her children, John Brooks Jr., James Brooks (Cheryl), Curtis Brooks, Carolyn and Tammie Brooks; and her sisters, Alice Burress, Laura Rose Marlow and Mary Lou Disney. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
