He is survived by: his sons, Jim Hampton (Deb) and Donnie Hampton (Vivian); his grandchildren, Jimmy Hampton (Eva), Cricket Newby (Scott), Jenna Hampton and T. J. Hampton (Cindy); and his great grandchildren, Celie Patterson, Landon Hampton, Dalton Hampton, Wyatt Hampton, Maysa Hampton and Creek Hampton. He is also survived by his boys, grandsons, and great grandson.
