It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Norrell of Spring City, Tennessee, born in Opelika, Alabama, who passed away on September 6, 2024, at the age of 54, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his son Max Andrew Norrell. He is survived by: his wife Marylyn Norrell of Spring City, Tennessee; his mother Nanine Cooper; his stepfather Curtis Cooper of Black Mountain; his father Richard Wayne Norrell (Barbara) of Opelika, Alabama; his stepchildren, Savannah White of Chattanooga, Doug White of Chattanooga and Will White of Spring City, Tennessee; his former wife Sally Norrell of Columbia; his grandmother LaMerle Anderson of Opelika, Alabama; and his siblings, Anderson Norrell of Augusta, Georgia and Laura Edwards of Erwin, Tennessee. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in honor of David's son Max to the American Federation of Suicide Prevention, or that you go adopt a friend from a local animal shelter.
