He was predeceased by: his parents, Henley "Bottle" Reed and Ruth Vitatoe Reed; his daughter Lori Ann Reed; and his siblings, Donald Reed, Virginia Weaver and Shirley Haydon.
He is survived by: his wife Bettye Norris Reed of Spring City; his children, Jamie Reed (Johnny Spivey) of Maryville and Jim Reed of Spring City; his granddaughter Chelse Reed of Dayton; and his nephew Keith Reed (Marcia) of Spring City.
