He was predeceased by: his father George Chandler; his son Bobby Chandler; and his sisters, Loray Strickland, Louise Bratcher and Lillian Vann.

He is survived by: his wife Emma Jean Northcutt Chandler of Spencer; his son Billy Chandler (Margie) of Spencer; his grandchildren, Craig Chandler (Andrea) and Tiffany Mooneyham; his great grandchildren, Bryson and Peyton Mooneyham of Spencer; his sister Linda Goff (Lavelle) of Jacksonville, FL; and his siblings-in-law, Albert Strickland of Jacksonville, FL, Jimmy Vann of Spencer, Nancy Bryant of McMinnville, TN and Linda Northcutt of Manchester, TN. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
