He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Eugene and Imogene Faye Rogers Maples; his wife Shelia Divine Dodson Maples; his brothers, Denny and Mike Maples; and his brother-in-law Billy Dodson.

He is survived by: his children, Tammy Seamons (Wayne) of Spencer, Timmy Maples of Doyle, Steve Maples (Jackie) of Jasper, Cindy Earl (Andy) of Cleveland and Jerry Rogers (Gail) of Soddy Daisy; his grandchildren, Dakota Seamons, Eli, Timothy Maples and Kane Fuqua; his great grandchildren, Raylon, Rynn and Remy Seamons; his special granddaughter Cierston Seamons Melton; and his special family member Shelly Maples. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and a large extended family.
