He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert Bent and Anita Dodge Bent. He is survived by: his wife Diane Newman Bent; his children, Dean Bent II (Lauren), Amber Diaz (Nestor), Danielle Wynn (Hunter) and Kristy McCoy (Cody); his siblings, Sean Bent, Dona and Diane DeSeve (Joe); and his grandchildren, Caiden (Adalyn Diaz), Leanne, Wyatt (Cheyenne McCoy) and Emory Wynn.
