He is survived by: his wife Louise Whitmire; his children, James Barnes (Rhonda) of Crossville, TN, Sparta Hampton of Crossville, TN, Richard Hampton (Leona) of Crossville, TN, Vivian Dodson (Ronnie) of Spencer, TN and Pamela Singleton (Virgil) of Dunlap, TN; his stepdaughter Janie Kennedy (Sam) of Dunlap, TN; his siblings, Martha Ellen Barnett and Allen Nicholes Bridgett; and his sister-in-law Willene Barnes of Dunlap, TN.. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren.
