She was predeceased by: her husband Freddie Bill Madewell; her siblings, Hobert, Junior Crain, Sophie Hale, Agnes Howard and Ellen Francis Crain; her grandson Joshua Smith; and her great grandchild Jaycee Madewell.
She is survived by: her daughters, Bonnie Hillis (Doug), Peggy Clendenon (Charles), Darlene Brown (Leon), Renee Mitchell (Lynn), Renette Smith (Terry Dean) and Billie Grissom (Jeff); and her brother Charles Crain. She is also survived by Thirteen grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren and a large extended family and friends.
