He was predeceased by: his parents, Thurman Chinn and Exie Chinn; his siblings, Duel Chinn, Delores Dalynis, Geneva Crawford and Wanda Ping; and his granddaughter Blake Kinsler.

He is survived by: his wife Joann Chinn of Speedwell; his children, Tim Chinn (Rene) of Elgin, Darrell Chinn (Faith) of Cadiz, Kentucky, Dottie Cordle of Nashville, Janet Leist (Joe) of Cincinnati and Jennifer McGhee of LaFollette; his siblings, Richard Chinn (Shirley) of Oak Ridge and Nina Amenta of Louisville, Kentucky; and his grandchildren, Justin, Dylan, Jacob, Matthew, Luke, John, Tiffany, Hope, Jasmine and Jaden. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
