She was predeceased by: her husband Herbert Eugene Griffith, Sr.; her parents, William Red and Mable Gillespie (Shamblin); her siblings, Jim Gillespie, Dick Gillespie, Dan Gillespie and Dorie Dent; her half-sister Mildred Angles; and her niece Lenora Bellini.
She is survived by: her children, Herbert Griffith, Jr. of Speedwell and Kathy Shaw (Chris Phillips) of LaFollette; her sister Rose Gillespie of Cedar Bluff, VA.; her grandsons, Joshua Shaw (Lauren) and Blake Phillips (Isabella); and her great grandchildren, Hayden and Ali.
