It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ray Lamar Scoggins of Sparta, Tennessee, who passed away on September 8, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Erasmus Scoggins and Reatha Howell Scoggins; his wife Frances Scoggins; and his siblings, Joe Scoggins (Myrtle), John Thomas Scoggins (Geneva) and Mary Lee Rowland (Theron).
He is survived by: his sons, Michael Scoggins (Lisa) of Chapmansboro, TN and Timothy Scoggins (Sharon) of Sparta, TN.; his grandchildren, Kristin Bledsoe (Ben), Mandy Hopper (Josh) and Matthew Scoggins (Carlon); and his great grandchildren, Elanor Scoggins, Ayden Phelps, Olivia Phelps, Laney Bledsoe, Gray Bledsoe, Huntley Hopper, Forrest Hopper and Camden Hopper.
