It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Stewart Anderton of Sparta, Tennessee, who passed away on March 24, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Stewart and Sula Howard Stewart; her husband Drake Anderton; her siblings, Twila Stewart Stein and Thomas Howard Stewart; and her adoptive parent Eddie (Elaine Rogers, family: Linda Bell).
She is survived by: her godchildren, Don Nicholson (Patricia) of White House, TN. and Amy Pierce (Kenny) of Hohenwald, TN.; her nephew Stan Stewart; and her niece Theresa Stein. She is also survived by Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hunter Funeral Home (120 Bockman Way, Sparta, TN 38583). A memorial service was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home (120 Bockman Way, Sparta, TN 38583).
