He was predeceased by: his former wife Cleo J Young; his parents, Sam Young and Virginia Young; his siblings, Norma Cardwell, Ray Young, Christine Watts, Horace Young, Morris Young, Kathleen Meyers, Reba Ensor and Solan Price Young (Bill); and his stepson Anthony Johnson (Pam Gardner).
He is survived by: his wife Katie; his children, Jerry Young (Gail) and Sherrie Ochsenbein (Mark); his stepchildren, Michael Johnson (Teresa) and Denise Daniels (Kevin); his grandchildren, Jennifer Albertson (John), Emilie Bee (Jason), Katherine Fredrick (Geoffrey) and Frederick Parker (Indy); and his stepgrandchildren, Keisha Abbott (Chris), Adam Johnson, Daniel Johnson (Haylee), Trevor Johnson (Chasity), Amy Grissom (David) and Justin Kay. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren (one due in December 2024), step great-grandchildren, and nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Oak Lawn Funeral Home (1786 Smithville Hwy, Sparta, TN 38583). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
