She was predeceased by: her parents, William Shockley and Flossie Shockley; her former husband Leon Lenton Elligan, Sr.; her siblings, William E. Shockley Jr. and Sara I. Toran; and her cousin Leon Bills.

She is survived by: her son Leon (Denise); her grandson Timothy; her nieces, Yolanda Williams (Darrell), Denise Toran Shillingford (Steven), Michaella Fields (Lester) and Harriett Glenn; and her cousin Foster Shockley, Jr. (Leatha). She is also survived by relatives and friends.
