He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert W. Mitchell and Will Alma Broyles Mitchell; his grandparents, Isaac, Mattie England Mitchell, William Mansfield and Perilla Shockley Broyles; and his sister Carolyn Mitchell Hickey.
He is survived by: his children, Becky Golden (Hank) and Samuel West Mitchell (Tasha); his grandchildren, Kim Knapp (James), Leslie Melton (Sean), Ava Mitchell, Mallory Mitchell, Addison Mitchell, Skylar Green, T. C. Good (Lyndee) and Tyler Good; and his great grandchildren, Kady Brymer, Becklee Melton, Tynslee Good, Paislee Good, Jordan Brymer, Kolton Denton and Lyle Melton. He is also survived by numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins.
