We are sad to announce that on October 27, 2024, at the age of 98, Elise Brown Morris of Sparta, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hobson Brown and Cindy Ann Bennett Brown; her husband Luther Brock Morris; her son Luther Leon Morris; her siblings, Gladys Brown Carter (Lloyd W.), Enzena Brown Pierce (Thomas R.), Mae Brown McBride Howell (Jack), Jewel Brown Buck (Buck), Perry, Paris Brown and John H. Brown (Lois Lavern); and her nieces, Carolyn Carter Kimsey, Susan Pierce Duncan and Linda McBride Pace.
She is survived by: her daughter Karen Morris Cooper; her son-in-law Charles Robert Cooper; her grandson Brock Cooper; her nieces and nephews, Margaret Carter Spiron (Charlie) of Goldsboro, NC, Angeli Buck Swallows (Paul) of Cookeville, Robert Brown Buck of Smyrna, Portia Brown Prater of Smithville and Arrie Ann Pierce Fuqua of Madison; and her brother Jim of Michigan.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Hunter Funeral Home (120 Bockman Way, Sparta, TN 38583). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home (120 Bockman Way, Sparta, TN 38583).
