He was predeceased by: his parents, John Douglas and Sybil Rowena Thomas (Addenbrooke); his wife Mary Elizabeth Thomas (Hickman); his brothers, Peter and John Thomas; and his sisters-in-law, Helen and Stella Thomas.
He is survived by: his children, Rebecca Vanelli (Robert) and David Thomas, Jr. (Irena); and his grandson Joshua Vanelli (Haley). He is also survived by 3 Great-Grandchildren; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
He enjoyed raising money for the United Way and Alzheimer's Research through the memory walk.
