He was predeceased by: his daughters, Donna Black and Darlene Johnson; his brother Robert Black; his siblings-in-law, Frog Newsom, Royce Newell and Wanda Black; and his great-nephew Russell "David" McIntosh.
He is survived by: his wife Mary C. Black; his children, Cindy Black (Don), Billy Black, Bobby Black (Barbara) and Jennifer Hampton; and his siblings, Rev. James Black, Ann Newsom and Nell Newell. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, multiple great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
