He is survived by: his spouse Susan Smith Bearden; his daughters, Stacie Harberson (Chris) and Jessica Nitschke (Bob); his brother Dwight Bearden (Nancy); and his grandchildren, Gunner Nitschke and Sophia Nitschke.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Lone Oak Cemetery Fund.
