He was predeceased by: his mother Marylou Jackson Ellis. He is survived by: his father James Ellis; his wife Evelyn Vasquez Ellis; his children, Ryan Penner (Devin), Paige Ellis, Amy Ellis, Shelby Ellis, Nicholas Hitzel and Tanner Hitzel; and his siblings, Jeremy Ellis (Dana), Tiffany Daubenspeck (Jory) and Laura Crawford (Jonathan). He is also survived by twelve grandchildren.
