He is survived by: his children, Roy "Houston" Avans, Jr. and Crystal Avans; his daughter-in-law Kristy Avans; his granddaughters, Madison Avans and Brittany Ruth (Dusty); his great grandchildren, Baylee and Catee; his siblings, Helen Bradley (Clinton) and Dell Avans; and his close friends, Richard Rogers (Kaye), Rock, Donald, Eugene, Vince, Marty, Gary, Roundman, Jay and Ralph Mosier. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
