It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nancy Jean Layne of South Pittsburg, Tennessee, who passed away on December 9, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband Waymon G. Layne; her daughters, Deborah L. Pilgrim and Wayma J. Lewis; her parents, James Barnes and Sophia Barnes; her siblings, Ray Barnes, Mildred Gouger and Robert "Bobby" Barnes; and her great grandchild Leah Mitchell.
She is survived by : her sons, Donald Layne (Tammy) of Jasper and Jimmy Layne (Jennifer) of South Pittsburg; her sisters, Carol Prince of Ooltewah and Ruthie Goff of Trenton; and her grandchildren, Donald Jack Layne, Corey Layne, Joey Layne, Erica Butler, Derek Layne, Jacie Layne, Chris Pilgrim, Justin Pilgrim, Abby Layne, Carla Layne, Wayne McNeece, Eric Trimm, Chloe McBee and Chandler McBee.
