He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlotte Nunley and Lesile Nunley; his son Jody Eugene Nunley; and his grandparents, Charles Welch (Catfish), Louise Welch, Beulah Vesta Nunley and Till Eugene Nunley.

He is survived by: his sons, Brandon Lee Nunley and Leslie Eugene Nunley, III; his grandchildren, Haizlee Nunley, Asher Nunley and Charlotte Nunley; his sisters, Melissa Murray (Johnny) and Frances Matthews (Mitchell); his uncle Bennie Welch; his aunt Opal Hailey; his niece Amber Edwards; and his nephew Colton Edwards. He is also survived by cousins and several friends.
