He was predeceased by : his stepson Adam Arnold; his siblings, David Higdon and Linda Anderson; and his parents, Carl Higdon Jr. and Bonnie Brown Higdon.

He is survived by : his girlfriend Penny Arnold; his siblings, Dale Higdon (Brenda), Judy Miles and Jean Powell; his stepdaughter Sequita Hardy (Chris); his brother-in-law James Hogwood (Denise); his grandchildren, Jackson Hardy, Matthew Arnold, Olivia Hardy and Madison Arnold; his nieces and nephews, Levi Hogwood, Dusty Norman, Mike Higdon, Casey (April Norman), Pam Higdon, Crystal Hansard, Jereisha Norman (Dakota) and Angel Fraire (Andres); and his close friends, Mark, Cindy Payne, Billy Davis, Dustin Sneed, Mitchell Ladd, Owners and Employees of Walker Oil.
