He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Earlene Thomas, Sr.; his sons, Michael Thomas and John Allen Thomas; and his sisters, Sandra Kennemore and Judy Wells.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Lees Thomas; his daughter Roseanne Chapman; his stepsons, Steve A. Johnston and Gary Allen Johnston; and his siblings, Bobby Thomas, David Thomas, Kevin Thomas, Nancy Smith and Rita Appleton. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren along with several nieces, nephews and special friends.
